Discuss this workshop
Join us for this exciting day of photography where we'll be using lighting equipment such as the Profoto D1 Air and Profoto Tungsten lighting gear. The goal of these classes is to help you understand metering, lighting equipment, light shapers/modifiers and everything else that revolves around studio photography.
If you don't own Profoto equipment or any studio equipment of your own, that's ok! The fundamentals of studio lighting transfer to just about all other strobe and continuous lighting equipment. You'll be able to easily translate what you learn in this workshop to your own studio, even if you use your small strobes as your primary equipment.
In fact, we highly encourage you to come to this workshop to learn what equipment makes most sense for your own shooting style. We'll have a ton of gear and you'll be able to use multiple types of lighting all day long.
Profoto makes some of the best lighting equipment on the market today and they've partnered with the Nikonians Academy to help us teach lighting methods in your city.
We'll learn how to photograph people as well as still life subjects. We'll start off by studying how to create stunning photos by using just one light. Later in the day, we'll bring in multiple lights to show how to incorporate key, fill and background lighting.
Our workshops are known all-around the world for their exceedingly high-quality instruction. We keep our leader-to-instructor ratio very low so everyone has direct access to the instructor at all times. Also, each of our workshops come complete with a packet all class notes, lighting layouts and resources. This guide is a great tool that you'll be able to use well into the future as you design your own studio system.
We know you'll love this workshop and can't wait to see you there.
