Discuss this workshop

Join Nikonians founders Bo Stahlbrandt (bgs) and J. Ramon Palacios (jrp) with Nikonians Academy Director Eric Bowles (ericbowles) as ANPAT Leader, to celebrate the 17th year of the Annual Nikonians Photography Adventure Trip (ANPAT) this fall. This is the Nikonians outdoors event of the year, this time in Acadia and Coastal Maine, for a full week of photography, shop talk and camaraderie.

WHERE:

We will be visiting spectacular Acadia National Park and the coastal villages and lighthouses of Maine including Boothbay Harbor, Pemaquid Point, and Schoodic Peninsula. A photography paradise, with rugged coastlines, iconic lighthouses, and warm tones of the northern light.

WHEN

From Saturday October 7, 2017 (arrival), to
Saturday October 14, 2017 (departure)

TIMING

October is the best time to be there and we are timing the trip for peak fall color. Exquisite colors abound, not just on the clouds, rocks and ocean, but also on trees and on the ground, thanks to the berry plants characteristic of the northern areas.

SKILLS LEVEL

We structure ANPATs to appeal and accommodate photographers of all experience levels. This is the occasion when all attendees become teachers and students, living the Nikonians motto: Share, Learn, Inspire.

PORT OF ENTRY AND DEPARTURE

Portland International Jetport (PWM)

WHO IS ELIGIBLE

All Gold and Platinum Nikonians members of all skill levels.

If you are not a Nikonians member yet, the system will guide you through enrollment at checkout when paying your cost contribution.

HOW WILL WE BE TRAVELING

For your comfort, we will be driving in 12-seat passenger vans, occupied by a maximum of 8 Nikonians each, leaving plenty of space for camera bags and tripods in our daily runs.

We will be staying at two comfortable and convenient hotels, to avoid long drives.

Like most of you, we like good, local food. You can expect good food from the favorite local restaurants we have selected.
