We'll be photographing the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara, Tarangire and at private luxury tent camps throughout Northern Tanzania. All with private Land cruisers, professional wildlife guides, catered meals and excellent accommodations. Yes, it is a long ways off, but start planning now for the trip of a lifetime! We are limiting the size to 11 participants.
One of the best aspects of this trip is that we are only allowing three photographers per vehicle. This means that each person will have an entire row to themselves with one seat for their camera gear and the other seat for themselves. There will be plenty of room to move around and everyone will have perfect access to all photo opportunities.
This is a trip for photographers, designed by photographers. Your tour leader, Mike Hagen, works exceedingly hard to help put you in the right spot at the right time.
The big draw for a safari during May in Tanzania is photographing the annual wildebeest rut in the central Serengeti plains. This timeframe offers the most impressive displays of the large migration herds.
We'll be waking up in the early morning hours to take sunrise photos and then staying in the bush late for sunset photos. The goal is perfect light and great images so all decisions we make are around optimizing the photography experience. During the middle part of the day and at night we'll take a rest at our lodges and bush tents.

The cost of the Nikonians Africa Photo Safari in May, 2012 is estimated to be $7,990 per person. We are just now putting the final details on pricing and will post the final amount soon.
This price represents double occupancy. You always have the option to travel as a single for an extra fee. Feel free to email Mike Hagen for detailed costs.
$1000 non-refundable deposit is due at sign up. Deposit payments may be made by credit card. We accept Visa, MasterCard or American Express. You can pay for the $1000 non-refundable deposit by clicking on the "Buy Now" button on this page.
$6,990 to be paid as soon as possible. The latest date to pay the $6,990 remainder is 180 days prior to departure. If final payment is not received when due, we reserve the right to treat your reservation as canceled and will offer your seat to the next person on the waiting list. This $6,990 payment must be paid via bank transfer (wire transfer). Bank information will be forwarded to all those who have paid the initial deposit.
All trip fees are quoted in US dollars and must be paid in US dollars.
Safari Cancellations and Refunds, The following fees apply:
90 days or more before departure: $1,000 per person in addition to the non-refundable deposit.
89 - 61 days before departure: 50% of trip fee
60 days or fewer before departure: 100% of trip fee.
No partial refunds are made for unused portions or services of a trip for any reason whatsoever. Trips are sold as a package only.
