Remember the slide shows of days gone past? The collapsible screen, the slide trays, the running dialogue explaining all the photos? It's gone high-tech with the age of digital - and it has become an art in and of itself. And an art that you can master quickly and easily that blends sounds and visuals into one exciting digital experience.
This workshop, taught by Nikonians faculty member Michael A. Mariant, who is the consultant and coordinator for travel and multi-media photography for the Semester at Sea study-abroad program, introduces photographers of all levels of experience into the exciting and rewarding process of story-telling through multi-media shows. All aspects of creating multi-media shows will be explored and implemented during the workshop, including capturing and incorporating audio sounds and voices, the editing process for storytelling, review of software options for creating shows and the integration of your finished products as DVD movies or to be uploaded on the Web in websites or blogs.
The actual process of creating these dynamic stories will be surprisingly easy as we take a step-by-step look at the entire process, from pre-visualization, shooting, editing, composing and exporting. By looking at examples of both simple and complex shows, we will see what works - and what doesn't - and then learn how to create shows for all your photo experiences.
