This is a special photo shoot that we've arranged with the Triple D Game Farm. We'll be photographing Triple D's wildlife models just outside of Mariposa, California which is on the doorstep to Yosemite National Park.
During this adventure, we've scheduled to photograph Mountain Lion, Grizzly Bear, Black Bear, Coyote, Wolves, Bobcat, Badger, Cross Fox and Red Fox.
A variety of filming locations have already been selected to include colorful rock outcroppings, beautiful crystal clear creeks and ponds, waterfalls, and majestic old-growth oak trees. The dates were selected to take advantage of the lush green spring vegetation and wildflowers that will blanket the landscape in many of our filming locations.
Most of our time is prioritized around photographing animals. During the shoots, your instructor will be by your side helping you build on your photographic strengths and developing new skills around wildlife photography.
Our group will be photographing at the 7L Ranch over the first three days where we will shoot a total of eight wildlife sessions. In between official photo shoots, we will have the option to pay for additional shoots at $175 per day.
The workshop starts on April 7th early in the morning and ends on April 10th. We strongly recommend arriving on April 6th and checking in with the instructor.
After photographing animals on 4/7/10 - 4/9/10, we will head over to Yosemite NP on April 10th to photograph the Valley floor. This will be a full-day adventure where we photograph from sunrise to sunset. Our photos will include El Capitan, Half Dome, Merced River, waterfalls and spring meadows.
This Workshop will help you advance your wildlife photography skills and build your photographic portfolio with stunning images of the most sought after animals.
The Triple D has been in business for over 30 years and knows how to provide the photographer with the best wildlife photography experience out there.
Update! We have also planned a separate photo shoot called the "Day on the Ranch" where we will have staged cowboys, horses, cattle, roping, branding and a cattle drive. One of the highlights of this photo adventure occurs when we run the horses through a crystal clear phond to create impressive action photos with water spraying everywhere. This optional workshop is scheduled for April 6th, 2010 and is titled "Day on the Ranch." You can find it in the course lists on this website.
